Privacy Policy

We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We collect information from our users at several different points on our website.

When do we collect personal information?

We only collect personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, e-mail addresses, and the like, when voluntarily submitted by a visitor. Visitors may choose to submit personal information to obtain information or submit a comment, to place an order, or request a print catalog.

What do we do with the information?

Providing personal information is up to you, our visitor. We will collect personally identifiable information to e-mail you with updates and news, respond to your questions or comments, and to send out catalogs and other information about our products. Users who no longer wish to receive our recipe e-newsletter may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the subject line in the email or email us at news@destinyproduce.com. Email addresses are for use only by Destiny Produce and are not provided to anyone outside our company unless explicitly given permission by the email address owner.

How do we use "cookies"?

We use "cookie" technology only to obtain non-personal information from on-line visitors to provide them with the best possible on-line experience. We track information in an aggregate form to allow us to update and improve our site; personally identifiable information is not extracted in this process.

Security

This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use a password to access information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment - a concrete vault.
